Vintage Industrial Machinist Light Made By English Manufacturer Dugdills 1930's
This machinist light was made by English manufacturer Dugdills in the 1930s. The arms have been stripped and polished and Lacquered to an industrial finish. It features an articulated arm and the wall plate cast features the makers name. The original green enamel shade shows age related marks. It has been rewired with black twisted flex and BS 3-pin 3 amp plug and mounted on an Industrial cog John Dugdill began making lamps in 1907. The family firm manufactured a wide range of electrical fittings in Stockport, Lancashire during the first half of the 20th century and Dugdill lamps are considered by many to be the pinnacle of early industrial lighting.
