Gaetano Sciolari Mid 20th Century Brass Italian Pendant Light 1970’s Mid 20th century pendant light designed by Gaetano Sciolari. Composed of five points of light and made of chrome and polish brass, Italy, 1970s.
Gaetano Sciolari was an Italian designer known for his Mid-Century lighting. Born around the turn of the 20th century, Sciolari, the child of an Italian lighting family that had been producing light fixtures since 1892, began designing for the Italian manufacturer Stilnovo in the 1950s. It was there that he created his most recognisable and celebrated designs, a series of multi-light chandeliers fashioned with both glossy and matte metal, conjuring up futuristic visions of the dawning Space Age.
Good vintage condition with signs of wear & use commensurate with age. Please remember that this piece is original minor wear should be expected. Marks to ceiling rose and some blemishes to the brass ,once hanging the marks are hard to see.
