Georgia Jacobs lamp dating to the 1970s, these lamps were iconic in their day and made by the famous French designer Georgia Jacobs for Athena. The lamps are sculpted in a ‘resin covered fabric’ Known as the ‘handkerchief’ lamp, these are elegant, stylish and true to their period
The lamps are lightweight yet they perfectly free stand on their alabaster base. When illuminated, they omit a warm Orange/Yellow glow and look absolutely stunning. A statement piece ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. There are some small surface scuffs and scars to the lamps, yet both are structurally good and secure. They are a little tatty in places on the bottoms and a little dirty, yet we don’t feel that this is detrimental to the structure or indeed the look and feel.As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to have it checked/fitted if needed by a qualified electrician before installation.
All lamps for use in the UK are PAT tested prior to dispatch.
